Corey was born in Corsicana, raised in poverty. Now he has the opportunity to be a blessing to the youth around him who don't have the opportunity to live the life they want. What makes a person commit to helping others without an ulterior motive? And how can you use your time to impact the youth in your community @inkslangerbigg
NANCY REBAL, she wanted it all
Nancy is in the seventh decade of her life. She has been a professional artist since 1975 and practiced in just about every aspect of the art world. She still makes art in her studio every day that she can. She became a mother in 1981. Her adult kids and four grandkids are the ornaments of her life. A woman can do both well. She insists. She wanted to do everything and still does. nancyrebal.com

Sabrina Basten developed Conversas to grow an appreciation for the diversity of human perspectives, a result of the ever-evolving synthesis of experiences. Sabrina’s sculptural works delve into the archetype of the woman warrior with a multi-layered practice. Through 'Curved Knowledge,' blending personal experience and scientific insight, she infuses storytelling with a visually intricate language. The ceramic warriors born from this process embody a duality of fragile porcelain and powerful gesture, drawing life from conversations with her environment. Sabrina’s practice seamlessly unites physical objects, storytelling, and spatial interaction, emphasizing an holistic approach to interweaving narratives and physical processes, seeking to materialize memories and stories.
Over the years, Sabrina’s strengths have blossomed in associative thinking, event organization, and translating stories into visuals and objects. Founder of Conversas Berlin, Sabrina cultivates a welcoming, productive space for story-sharing. This experience underscores her understanding of how connecting seemingly unrelated passions and topics offers the possibility of rearranging, breaking and elevating standard, everyday communication.
The ultimate belief of Conversas is that every single human being in this world has something beautiful to share. Conversas ensure a safe space created for the three guest speakers and audience to feel comfortable engaging with each other and to ask questions at any time during each 30-minute presentation. Conversas is open to people of any age, culture, political or religious background, and does not tolerate, in any way, racism nor gender discrimination.
